Year 6 students, families , friends and staff gathered at the Civic Club to celebrate the end of the 2016 Year 6 Class in Junior School as they progress to the Secondary school in 2017. After being presented to the group by Miss West and Mr O'Rourke , Mr Fairbairn congratulated them before Chappy Wes said Grace and the students began the dinner proceedings. After dinner Mrs Fairbairn congratulated in particular the Arrowsmith students, but also all the students. Head of Boys Boarding, Mr Max Batt spoke on the behalf of the students in both girls' and boys' boarding and congratulated them on their behaviour in dorms and acknowledged looking forward to welcoming them back next year as secondary boarders.
Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Cerqui presented the students with certificates and a graduation bear each before the cutting of the cake was held. The gathering finished their dessert before the speeches from the Junior School Captains, Hayley Abbott and Lachlan Reynolds and a video presentation was shown.
A great night was had by all. Congratulations Year 6 and best wishes in Secondary School.
