Term 2 Sport- Boys Rugby League

The first round of the boys Rugby League, against All Souls, was very promising. 13years started the competition with a convincing win of 28-4. The new Joe Cliffe scoreboard ,donated by the P&F, looked great with that score on it! Tuk scored 2 run away tries after breaking through the defense, while Jack, Tristan, the Lachlans ,Travis, Brodie and Jaxon also played well. It was great for Connor and Ben to step up to help make the team of 13 players. With no subs the boys really took it to their opposition.
Next it was time for the 1sts to take the field. They looked winners as they ran on wearing their new jerseys which the P&F also sponsored. With a few players out through injury and first game nerves the team played hard hammering the Souls line but just falling short of the points. Finally near the end of the first half Damon crossed to have the half time score 4-0. Second half the BTC team lost their nerves and played strongly. Strong runs from Shannon, Dan, Mick, Adam , Callum B sat the Souls team back. The  final score was  BTC 26- ASSG 4. The following day the 14years played valiantly against a well drilled Souls team to unfortunately go down. The 2nds team backed and played an entertaining game to win BTC 30 ASSG 16. The game see-sawed keeping the crowd on their toes. Great run away tries by Peter and Reece, Well done to all the BTC teams !.
