Primary Interschool Swimming Carnival

The BTC Primary swimmers represented the College at the recent Interschool Swimming Carnival. The first event was the 100m Free where Georgia Mintram and Leah Ryle  in the girls and Jayden Pickering and Jim Burgess in the boys dug deep to churn through the water. Our 9 yr old Invitational swimmers were Emma Zishke and Harry Mintram. In the 10yr old events Ronnie Critchley and Manya Tripathi made it through to the finals with Connor Neville always giving his best. 11 year olds, Jessee Santo and Jessica Stinson were always up with the pack and swimming in the finals while Jordan Bidewell gave 100% effort.  In the12 yr old competition Georgia and Leah swam in all the events while Tak Kuwajima,Jayden Pickering, Jim Burgess and Jack Mc Queen battled it out.  Teearni Stagg was our only 13 yr old Primary representative.  In the relays we had some extra swimmers swim to make the team. In the Junior Free Relay Taylor Hughes joined the girls  while Ned Marshall and Isaiah Vailalo joined the boys.In the Junior Medley Relay Breeanna Eberle swam the breaststroke lap for the girls while Ned Marshall swam the backstroke with Isaiah Vailalo bringing home the team in the freestyle lap.
The team put in a fantastic effort during the Carnival and came 2nd in the Average trophy. Teearni Stagg won the 13yrs age group. Well done to all the swimmers. You were all champions!
