BTC Girls at Waterpolo Championships

Sally Carrington and Madi Smith travelled to Noosa as part of the North Qld Waterpolo Team to compete at the State Championships.  The team, which included players from Ayr, Ingham, Whitsundays , Charters Towers and Townsville played strongly and improved with every game they played. While it was hard against the Brisbane teams who train and play together regularly, the team was evenly matched against other regional teams from Darling Downs, Capricornia and the Gold Coast.  Year 12, Sally Carrington, played well and enjoyed her 2nd but final year playing in the Northern team. Madi Smith, who played strongly in defensive centre back position, was named as the Northern team's Player of the Tournament.
