Wednesday evening saw the dedicated BTC Secondary students line up at the blocks for the 200m freestyle event. The 12 year age group was represented by Riley Casson who swam well to claim 1st while the 13 year girls was taken out with a strong swim by Ronnie Critchley. Harry McQueen claimed 1st in the 13 years boys with Stacy Krause 2nd , Connor Neville 3rd and Will Batt put in a great swim to touch 4th. 14 year old Mitch Fogarty claimed 1st with Jack Gillatt touching 2nd. Elissa Harrison powered away to claim 1st touching at 2.54.91secs ahead of Hayley Condon 2nd, Jaimi Rossow 3rd and Brianna Innes 4th. Lauchlan Sollitt took out the 15 years boy while Keesha Whyte touched 1st at 2.54.77 and India Aitchison swam well to claim 2nd. 16 year old Bou-Dean Evans claimed 1st in the boys competition while Madi Smith touched at 2.48.25 to touch 1st in the girls competition. Kate Miller claimed 2nd with Jemimah Phillott 3rd, Bridget Ginns Larkin 4th and Emma Condon finishing strongly to touch 5th. In the Open Boys Darcy Ginns Larkin set the pace to catch while he powered away to touch 1st at 2.31.65 followed by Roy Fisher2nd, Tom McQueen 3rd and Errol Miller4th. In the girls competition Lucy Campbell touched 1st just ahead of Demi Goldsworthy 2nd and Jaimeen Kenni 3rd.
