Brisbane Careers Trip

Students from Yr10-12 had a busy and exciting trip around Brisbane. They stayed at the Youth Hostel  in the Brisbane CBD  which allowed them easily to move around the city using the Go card. They visited the Gatton Campus of UQ where they were involved in a working dairy and saw the other animal and agricultural based courses available to them. They also visted QUT and saw the facilities, courses and scholarships available at this Tertiary Institution. Another highlight was  their trip to Movie World where they were taken to the backlots to see the behind the scenes at a theme park.
On the friday they visited the National Careers and Employment Expo which is Qlds largest and longest running careers and employment event. This event , which was held in the Exhibition Centre, showcased employment, careers, skills and training opportunities and had something for everyone. Thanks to Ms Aitchison for organising the trip and to Mr Dalitz for helping with supervision on the trip.
