A group of students from BTC traveled to Townsville to compete in the NQ Athletics Championships. Those representing BTC were Tilona Ahmet (shot put), Kiara Guligo (discus , shot put),Josh Walsh (high jump), Jessee Santo (100m, high jump, long jump) Tenisha Soloman (triple jump). Sam Shadbolt and Allen Rau went as helpers on the day.
Jessee was selected for the NQ team in 100m, high jump and long jump while Tenisha was selected for triple jump. Additionally Jessee broke the NQ 100m record of 12.8 secs with a blistering run of 12.6 seconds. The girls can now travel to Brisbane to compete at the State Championships.
