Even with the added humidity and mosquitoes brought on by the weather, the students had a great time. Thanks to Ms McAllister and Mr West for supervising the camp.

Duke of Edinburgh Camp
Students completing Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards have been involved in the Adventurous Journey component of the Award. With the support from Ms Mc Allister and Mr West, the students travelled first to Townsville where they camped at Rowes Bay and explored the many walking trails around Pallarenda and the Townsville Common......with a long 15 km walk keeping them busy. They then headed up to Big Crystal Creek and once more explored the area. With the threatening weather and showers the students soon learnt how to make their camp fairly waterproof. The lack of mobile phone reception encouraged the group to use board games and card games to the pass the time in the evening . Due to different teams in charge of cooking the menu was varied and delicious.
Even with the added humidity and mosquitoes brought on by the weather, the students had a great time. Thanks to Ms McAllister and Mr West for supervising the camp.
