There were many successes and great efforts for the last week of Interschool Netball and Rugby League competitions. The girls netball had a close win in 13 yrs 21-19. Although the 14yrs and 15yrs went down to State High the girls played their best and enjoyed the games. The 2nds won on a forfeit but still played a game with coach Ms Aitchison volunteering her playing skills for the other side and the 1sts had a great game to soundly beat State High 38-13.
On the league field the 14 yrs boys steamrolled their way to an Undefeated Premiership after winning to State High 30-12.The 2nds put in a great effort to just go down to State High after hammering their line in the dying stages of the game 24-14. The 1sts sealed their Undefeated Premiership by winning 36-6. However the game against Columba yesterday nearly told a different story. The BTC 1sts were down with 10 minutes to go. The team dug deep and scored two tries and a conversion to see the score 20-18. The BTC boys defended strongly to stop a last ditch effort from Columba to upset the apple cart. Well done to all the teams who played. What a great effort. GO IT BLUE!
