Goodbye to the Roediger Family

At Mr Roediger's last Assembly on Friday, the College Captains gave a speech thanking both Mr and Mrs Roediger for their efforts and support of the College over the past three years. Mr Roediger has good rapport and friendship with both students and staff alike. Students were reminded of the fantastic Netball and Rugby Union trip to New Zealand which Mr Roediger organised in 2007. Thanks were also given to Mrs Roediger's tireless efforts on the P&F committee and as Cattle Sales Canteen Convenor, Teacher -Aide and Support-a-Reader volunteer. The College thanks the Roediger family and wishes them all the best in their future in Toowoomba. Primary School also had a special goodbye presentation and presented the family with a photo album of memories from BTC.

Teachers Vs 1sts Softball Team

The girls 1sts softball team challenged the teachers to a softball game. All students eagerly awaited the competition to begin. The girls batted first with Mr Gray pitching and Mrs Cerqui catching. Soon there were 3 out and a change of sides. The teachers quickly put some points on the board with some big hitting male teachers keeping the outfielders busy.A crowd pleaser was Mr Roediger's home run. It was a very entertaining game with the teachers taking the win, however next time perhaps an all girl staff team would an interesting competition against the all girl 1sts softball team.
