A group pf students completing their Bronze and Silver Level Adventurous Journeys have been camping at Rowes Bay and exploring areas and trails around their campsite. With menus planned and shared cooking duties they are working well as a team. They attended the Townsville Anzac Day Commemoration. Today they moved camp to Alligator Creek to continue the explorations of a new area.
Anzac Day
BTC Students were involved in both the Dawn Service and the Parade in commemorating 100 years since landing at Gallipoli. There was a huge crowd for the dawn service where the students paid their respects at the graves of fallen soldiers as well as laying a wreath.
Later in the morning the whole school gathered march in the parade. The students represented the College well and made us proud with how they conducted themselves. Head of Boys Boarding,Mr McCartney (Sarge) who was a sergeant in the Royal Dragoon Guards, gave the reading at the service.
