8 Students from BTC helped out at the School of Distance Education Under 8’s Day on Friday the 28th October. BTC students made sure the young distance education children and their siblings had a great day, getting face painted, making play dough pies, constructing Indian Head-dresses and creating pet rocks. As you can see the older students also got into the spirit of the day, and two students (Jessica Batt and Samantha Hintz) found the experience a good confirmation for their proposed future career directions – commenting that the experience fitted in very well with their Certificate III Childcare Studies. Others were just there to help out and an enjoyable time was had by all.

Relay For Life
BTC students competed in Relay for Life at the Showgrounds recently. From 2pm Saturday until 9am Sunday morning students were involved in the BTC Interact Team and walked continuously around the oval. During the relay students could be involved in activities such as Zumba, three- legged races and egg and spoon races. The teams were entertained by bands, singers and performers throughout the night. The boarders from BTC joined the relay team for some of the evening. The event was successful in raising much needed funds for cancer. Thanks to Mrs Schultz and Carmen Ryan for supervising the team.
