Country Music
An action packed first week of Term 2 culminated in the Country Music Parade on Friday. Students from across the year levels from Kindy to Year 12 rode on the BTC float or walked with the Oklahoma display. With the theme "All About Troy" the truck had a campfire display, marshmallows and golden guitars. Thanks to Mrs Cerqui, Mrs Burgess and all parents , staff and students who helped decorate the float. (Does anyone know where the BTC calico" skirts" that go along the edge of the truck got to????)
1RAR Band
BTC was fortunate to have a visit from the Army's 1RAR band last week. BTC invited students from other schools to participate in the workshops provided by the Army musicians. The expertise and information passed onto the students was inspiring. The whole College was then treated to a concert by the 1RAR Band. On a weather perfect day, the grounds of Thornburgh House was the place to be, listening to some fantastic music. Some students and staff joined in with some dance combinations. Thanks to the 1RAR band for a very educational and entertaining visit.
