First Round of Interschool Rugby League Games

The U13yrs, U14 yrs and 1sts played at home against ASSG. The 2nds team played on Monday. but unfortunately went down to ASSG despites tries from Brandon and Harrison.The U 13 yrs started very strongly and went to the half in a commanding leading position. Unfortunately, ASSG came back in the 2nd half to win the game. U 14yrs were always in the game, with the crowd getting excited when a try and conversion by Errol brought them within 2 points late in the game. An unconverted try by ASSG on full time ended the battle. Next time BTC! The 1sts came on the field determined to play well in front of their home crowd....and play well they did.ASSG put first points on the board but Anton's burst of speed and Dan's sure footed kick equaled the scores. Even with extra points by each team throughout the game the scores remained equal and as the fulltime hooter sounded it was 18 all. BTC played an excellent defensive game as ASSG continually hammered their line trying to get some extra points. Dan was very unlucky not to be awarded his push over try in the dying minutes of the game.
