Secondary Interschool Athletics

BTC Secondary students competed in the Interschool Athletics Carnival which was held at CCC this year. It was pleasing to see the students step up to the challenge to represent the College in all events. At the end of the day we had a lot of tired and hot competitors who had given their best. Individually Thomas Polkinghorne was 14 year Boys Age Champion while our Runner-Up Age Champions were  Sarah Hesp 13 Yrs Girls and Courtney Sheales 16 Yrs Girls. There were inspirational distance runs by Layne Prichard, Morgan Williams, Jodie Fisher, Daniel Simatis, Austin Fox, Sarah Hesp and Thomas Polkinghorne and shorter distance by Courtney Sheales, Angus McQueen, Toby Lockyer , Peter Tybingoompa, Thomas Polkinghorne and Sarah Hesp: Some big throws by Max Burgess, Amber Curtis, Madi Smith, Callum Brown, Errol Miller,Matthew Stagg Adam Fry, Todd Ellis, Gemma Hills and Morgan Rockley.High leaps by Jemma Robinson, Elissa Marsterson, Darcy Ginns Larkin, Sean Bawden, Daniel Simatis and Esa Tuiqali. Some long leaps by Morgan Williams, Casey Henry, Corey Todd, Brandon Reed, Gemma Hills and Courtney Sheales.
At the end of the day the College Results were:
Taylor Trophy -Girls Relay     BTC 4th
Goften Cup- Boys Relay        BTC 1st
Aiden Scott Girls Points         BTC 3rd
Alex Forbes Boys Points        BTC 3rd 
Combined Aggregate Shield   BTC 3rd  ( ASSG 1st, CCC 2nd)
