18 Drama students , accompanied by Ms O'Keefe and Mrs Black set off to Brisbane last Tuesday. We were all very, very, very excited to say the least. For Kristen and Sheridan the plane ride was an adventure in itself. We finally arrived in Brisbane around1.30pm and then drove to the Gold Coast to see the Australian Outback Spectacular. Everyone enjoyed the backstage tour of the Outback Spectacular. The show was amazing and the food was pretty good as well. On Wednesday we woke up and headed to the Griffith University at Mt Gravatt. We watched a group of 3rd year drama students perform an upcoming play. The drama students at BTC are part of a research project to do with theatre. This is a big project that is being conducted all over Australia and to be part of this program is a privilege. After a tour of the campus, we headed back to our hotel and all had a rest before heading out to QPAC to see"Wicked". "Wicked" was sensational! It was such an amazing experience and we were all gobsmacked throughout the whole performance. The next morning was the earliest wake up as we had to be at Movieworld at 8.30am for a theatre workshop, which was eye opening. After the workshop we were very keen to get on the rides and after spending the whole day at Movieworld , still managed to fit in some shopping. We were exhausted that night, slept in the next morning, managed to squeeze in some more shopping before we finally headed for the airport.Luckily Toby found his lost belt in his bag and we all made it home safely. The students , who had a chance to experience so much in Brisbane, would like to thank Ms O'Keefe and Mrs Black.(More photos to come from students!)
