After a busy Interhouse Athletics Carnival BTC staff and parents rushed home to prepare for the evening's Gala Ball. Through all the sweat and sunburn, they scrubbed up fairly well and enjoyed the spectacular night. After nibbles and drinks, the ball goers were serenaded by Mr Hewitt singing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" ,while Power Up dancers performed. After the first course of food the crowd were ushered outside to light big lanterns ,which were like hot air balloons, and watch as hundreds of them floated up into the sky. As the last lanterns were seen floating away over the horizon a spectaular fireworks display started. After the last impressive burst of colour , patrons moved back into the marquee for vigorous bidding at the auction. A great night was had by all.
