Shave For a Cure
The BTC Interact Club organised the "Shave and Colour For a Cure" to raise money for Cancer Research. While most people opted for a weird hairstyle and colour there were a few barve souls who opted for a shave to raise money.Colin Rayment, Callum Brown, Thomas Wright, Taran Harnas, Justin Todd and Jacob Whiting let their locks go. Jacob also let some of his eyebrows go as well.

Drama Classes
The year 11/12 Drama class enjoyed working with the Prep ,Year 1 and 2 students. After splitting into groups the older students took the younger ones through many fun drama activities.

State Honours Ensemble Program
On Friday the 11th of March, three Blackheath and Thornburgh College students will travel to Cairns to participate in the State Honours Ensemble Program, organised by the Open Conservatorium of Griffiths University. This is the first time students from Blackheath and Thornburgh have been selected to participate in the program. Each year, the most outstanding secondary school musicians are nominated to represent their schools in the areas of Voice, Viola, Cello, Double Brass, Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet and Bass. Louise Black was selected in vocal soprano, Justin Todd for percussion and Stephen Pittman for trombone.
The State Honours Ensemble Program is a product of the partnership between schools, teachers and the Open Conservatorium. Students represent their school during this program and it culminates in a Gala Performance.

Unplugged
Students from P-12 were recently treated to an Arts Council Performance.It was based around environmental education with the emphasis on saving money through saving power. Turning off appliances, turning off power points at the wall and not having on any electrical appliance that you are not using ,were all highlighted in the performance. The show was enjoyed by all students.
