Mrs Jean Mc Cubben introduced the speakers at the Memorial
Fountain Service. Once again the service was poignant as some of the current
Thornburgh students represented the fallen past students from WWII, Korea and
Vietnam.
College Captains Lachlan Wearing and Amy Neville presented
readings and a prayer before plants were laid at the fountain by both Junior
and Secondary Captains and Past Student’s Representatives.
As the Names of the Fallen were read by Mr Charles Phillott,
the Thornburgh Boys placed a flag at the fountain.
After the Memorial Service, the crowd moved into Blackthorn
Hall for the Reunion Church Service which was led by Mr Viv Chapman. The Lord's Prayer was read by David Cummins and the Benediction was read by Roz Beale.
