BTC hosted the Interschool Sports Day with ASSG. The day was full of netball and rugby league action.
In Netball the 1sts went down to ASSG 29-22 with Tenisha Soloman getting MVP.The game was a fast paced competition, with both teams putting in a big effort.
The 2nds had a win 7-16 with Meaghan Bowden receiving MVP. The 15's also played a hard fought game to come away with a win 33-27 and Riley Casson was the MVP recipient. 14's gave their best effort but went down 24-5 with Kelsey Jones MVP. In the last netball game of the day the 13's came within 2 points of the ASSG team to narrowly go down 15-12. Angeleah Corrigan was MVP.
In Rugby League the 13 Boys went down 24-8 with Darcy Russell and Jason Bulsey scoring tries. Liam Cashmere was MVP. The 15's had a strong game to beat ASSG 28-12 with Braithen Knox the MVP and Reg Batt claiming a hat trick of tries. The 1sts hit the ground running with the first try by Mitch Fogarty in the first phase of play. Not long after, Brodie Land scored from a mistake by ASSG. ASSG hit back with a converted try. Connor Essex powered over for two more tries to lead 22-6 at half time. ASSG got back in the game in the second half to score two quick tries. Connor Essex and Jack McQueen posted a try each with Jack kicking a field goal to give BTC that buffer point if needed. ASSG scored once more before the final hooter with BTC 1sts winning 31-24.
