BTC 1sts Play Central West Team at Longreach.

 Great footy game at Longreach with BTC 1sts playing Central West ! The BTC boys played excellent and  as usual dug deep to win the game.  The first 5 mins started bad with a drop ball from kick off and then the Southern side scoring.  The boys regrouped and defended well making that blue wall from side to side  hard to break through.  The boys kicked up a gear seeing some great breaks by Jack McQueen, Doug Sealy and Connor Essex.. Lachlan Wearing and Damien Bige  had solid games. Allan Rau, playing at number 7 played a remarkable game in ball skills, defense and tackling hard which saw him receiving a well deserved Man of the Match.  Tries were 2 to Allan Rau, 2 Jack McQueen, Mitch Fogarty,  jack Gillatt and Connor Essex.  mitch kicked 6 from 7 goals.The  BTC boys spirit and fitness shone through which showed them the way to victory. Final score was 40-16.   Mind you they did feel the heat and a few comments were made about whether they were  going to die playing in this heat...and  where are the  clouds out here? 
The Winton Devils turned up to watch and cheer on the BTC boys in their game, which then saw the  BTC boys making the tunnel for the Devils which was really good to see them get involved in the grand final.
