Canberra Trip
We have heard that they all made it to Canberra safe and sound and were ready to eat their pizza dinner before heading off to the National Dinosaur Museum. A BIG day....should sleep well tonight.
Day2
Today the students visited Mt Ainslie to see the layout of Canberra before going to the War Memorial , Parliament House and the Institute of Sport. the netball girls got a photo with Amehlia Schmidt at the AIS and Jessee got to measure up against Cathy Freeman......I wonder if one day Jessee 's picture will be in the AIS?
Day 3
Today the students went to see the National Archives and enjoyed a visit to Cockington Green to see the miniature towns and exhibits. They also visited Questacon and enjoyed the hands on interactive dispalys.
Day 4
Finally they get to the snow! Weather is good and big smiles all round.
Boarders Fun Day
Fun Netball games and a BBQ were organised at the Indoor Centre for the last weekend before the September holidays. The first games were the 1sts Rugby League Vs 1sts Netball. It was a different sort of game with the boys donning the netball dresses and the girls in the footy gear. In a highly entertaining game the boys narrowly defeated the girls....perhaps because Toby and Harry could nearly touch the netball ring when they stretched their arms up! Thanks to Cindy and Dolly for umpiring. A BBQ lunch was on offer before the Year 9/10 students played netball. While the boys did not wear the dresses (this is a "treat" for when you are a Senior), the game was just as entertaining with the girls having a win over the boys . Thanks to Ms B and Seiarne for umpiring this game. Those not involved playing the netball games could watch and cheer, play cricket, beach volleyball or have a go at the pool table..........there were some studious girls even doing some school work( after a long Relay for Life night before). A great way to celebrate the end of another busy term.
