Rugby Tenz

On the weekend BTC fielded Rugby Union teams to compete in the local Secondary Schools Rugby Tenz competition. The students played well and showed great team spirit and sportmanship in all their games. U 13 Boys played valiantly with only 8 players and to their credit made it to the final playoff by beating teams with 10 players.Unfortunately they went down in the final to a well drilled Columba team. The U15 boys steam rolled their way to win their age group. They went through undefeated in all their games. The Open Girls ,who at the last minute managed to get a full team of girls to play, gave it their best shot. As the games progresed they got stronger and stronger with some flashes of brilliance throughout the competition. The girls ended up in 3rd place. The Open Boys also steam rolled their way, undefeated in all their games ,to claim the Winners Shield. Thanks to the boarders and teachers for coming out to cheer the teams on.
