Confraternity Carnival-Girls Netball
The BTC Confraternity Netball team flew to Brisbane then were bussed (by an extremely wonderful driver in Mrs Sticklen) to Caloundra. The team stayed at fantastic accommodation at the Watermark Resort at Bullock Beach. With a spa in each room and a heated pool on site the girls were made. Then of course there were the Netball games. The team played 9 games in Pool E and won 2 games and drew 2 games ,which saw them in the play-offs in Division 6.With a lot of see-sawing of games and results between teams, the BTC girls finished 4th in the division.Team Player of the Carnival from BTC was Racquel Chaplain. The most memorable game was against Rockhampton Cathedral College which was a very hard fought game where the girls dug deep to produce a well earned win. The team photo could have been very interesting with one player having mis-matched shoes on .....luckily the photographer noticed it before the photo was taken!Aside from the Netball , Confraternity is also about the shopping and with the Caloundra Markets, Sunshine Plaza and Chermside Shopping Centre under their belts, it can be said that all members had a fun and memorable Confraternity week. Thanks to Mrs Cerqui and Mrs Sticklen for organising and supervising the team.

Confraternity Carnival- Rugby League
The BTC Boys Confraternity Team travelled ,by train, to Bundaberg over the June holidays. The team played in Division B and won 3 out of their 4 pool games with a very impressive 48-6 win over St Columban's from Caboolture. They subsequently won their quarter-final and proceeded to the semi-final in the Bowl competition. Unfortunately they went down to St Thomas More's College from Brisbane. In their final play-off the team started slowly and had to play catch up after half time. The team put in a big effort in the second half and was steam rolling their way to a win but the full time hooter beat them. They went down by only 2 points. Overall it was a successful carnival with the boys coming 12th in their B Division competition and 4th in the Bowl competition.Man of the Match players included Zac Santo (2 times), Taylor Smith, Cameron Sheales and Stuart Pegler. However, ALL players need to be congratulated for always giving their best right to the final hooter. The team stayed at Bargara and enjoyed the fantastic catering and cooking supervised and organised by Donna Sheales and her able group of "Master Chefs". As Coach Max Batt said,"No Confraternity team has ever eaten this well". The boys relaxed in the pool (or was that the ice bath?)and spa and played games of table tennis and mini golf. Thanks go to Marnie and Mr Gilbert for organising the Carnival for the team. It will be a great memory for all to have. Finally a word from the adults who came in contact with and supervised the team. " They are a great bunch of boys who are well mannered, well behaved and helpful . It has been a pleasure being associated with them". Congratulations to the boys for being great ambassadors for not only the College but more importantly for themselves. Go It Blue!
